The boys were bugging each other yesterday morning so I needed to distract. So I dragged them into the kitchen so they could prep their lunch. I love being able to pass along my love for cooking to my boys because it was a huge part of my life for as long as could remember. So, yes it was like 9:30 in the morning but it worked! I needed something simple and that made use of what was in the fridge because we had not yet gotten out of our PJs to get to the store.
So here is what we came up with… Lay out a couple small biscuits next to each other, let the kiddos roll them out a bit. Top with a slice of string cheese and a hot dog (my favorite are Applegate Farms Organic Hot Dogs! They are fantastic and worth the extra $). Have them roll them up and plop onto a baking sheet. Bake at 375 for about 10-12 minutes until the biscuits are golden and the cheese is nice and gooey! Threw some veggies and fruit on the side to complete the meal! Plus, lets be honest, the kiddos will more willingly eat something that they helped make!

Oh mannnnn, these seriously look delicious! I almost have all the ingredients on hand to make them too! I just need the biscuits. Maybe this weekend!

Such a fun way to do hot dogs! You can fancy it up with some puff pastry & a nicer cheese then a cheese stick lol!!! Enjoy!!

My brother and my boyfriend love hot dogs. I’m sure they’d be happy if I made these for dinner. It looks so good!

Thanks! My hubby stole the last one and he lived it just as much as the boys!

Oh yes, I have bought some kransky sausages today and I can just taste what they would be like done like this!

I’ve done something similar with wrapping sausage in puff pastry, yum! Enjoy!!

I made these when my kids were young and I used crescent rolls but I think the biscuits would be better because they are thicker! I hate to admit it but I love dogs:) Lynn @ Turnips 2 Tangerines
