Good morning! How are we today? We are still in a deep deep freeze here in NJ and with a ton of snow on the ground already, apparently we’re getting more from Saturday to Monday! What?!?! I definitely don’t remember moving to Alaska! While I love the beauty of the snow and I love that the boys love playing in it, I am ready to not feel cold!
Anyhow, we are still celebrating Super Bowl Eats Week! If you are like me and like to think ahead and plan, then go ahead and pin this one for the big game and add it to your grocery list! These Garlic & Herb Rolls are so easy to make and are really really good!!! Not only a great addition to your Super Bowl party, but just perfect as a side dish to just about any meal in my opinion but hey, I’m a lover of garlic bread in any form.
Pizza dough from your favorite pizzeria, some melted butter, garlic, fresh chopped herbs and grated pecorino cheese and thats it! These take just a few minutes to prep and 15-18 minutes in the oven until baked to warm golden perfection! These will seriously disappear so fast!
- 1 large pizza dough {local pizza place}
- 1 stick of unsalted butter, melted
- 8-10 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- a handful of fresh parsley, finely chopped
- a few sprigs of rosemary, finely chopped
- 2-3 Tbsp fresh thyme leaves
- 1/2 cup grated pecorino cheese
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
- Cut the dough in half. Roll each half out into a thin rectangle {no it doesn’t need to be perfect at all- i’m a terrible roller}.
- Mix together the melted butter, garlic and all the fresh chopped herbs in a small bowl.
- Spoon out the butter mixture over the two pieces of dough and spread out evenly {leave a little of the butter mixture to brush on the tops of the rolls}. Sprinkle some grated cheese on there as well.
- Roll up the dough, long end to long end. Slice into 1 1/2-2 inch rolls and place into a lightly butter baking dish.
- Brush the remaining butter mixture on top of each roll and sprinkle with a little more grated pecorino. I let the rolls rest 15-20 minutes prior to baking, they will rise a bit as they rest and more as the bake.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until nicely golden.
