All Natural Australian Tea Tree Oil Cleaner :: Apothecary Extracts

July 22, 2014 by Angela LeMoine 9 Comments

I have to be honest, before this I had never used or known much about Apothecary Extract’s 100% Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil. Heres what I did know, that nature has got some amazing powers and essential oils is one of them! What I’ve learned, Tea Tree Oil makes for an incredible natural cleaner, beautifier and healer. Keeping my family healthy in the kitchen is not only about the food I make but about keeping things clean and sanitary! Here was my kitchen challenge, my giant and heavy wood cutting board that is not easy to clean because it doesn’t fit into a sink… oh and again its heavy! The solution was making an all natural cleaner using Australian Tea Tree Oil from Apothecary Extracts.

In combination with the Tea Tree Oil I used distilled white vinegar and water. Tea tree oil has the big three antimicrobial properties; anti fungal, anti viral and anti bacterial! A huge concern of mine with my wood cutting board is not being able to properly clean it and making sure that there is no bacteria left behind. Problem solved!!! Oh, and not only is this great for wood cutting boards but also as an all purpose cleaner {do not use on granite countertops, vinegar is a no no with granite}.

I also used it to clean the stainless steel sink and its sparkling clean!

All Natural Australian Tea Tree Oil Cleaner :: Apothecary Extracts

1 cup distilled vingear

1/2 cup water

1 Tbsp Apothecary Extract’s 100% Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil

1 spray bottle or mason jar

a few drops of lavender extract {optional: for scent}

Instructions:

Be sure to start with a clean, dry cutting board.

Pour the ingredients into a spray bottle or mason jar. Spray, or if using a mason jar pour some of the cleaner onto the board and spread with a paper towel. Allow the cleaner to sit for 10 minutes then wipe with a damp clean paper towel.

Once a month repeat this but instead, let the cleaner soak in overnight. The mineral oil, Tea Tree Oil will help maintain the surface and prevent the wood from drying out.

___________

SO, while I used it in the kitchen there are tons of other uses for Apothecary Extract’s Tea Tree Oil; shampoo, lotion, soap, body wash, toothpaste and more!! Get the toxic cleaners out and replace it with something natural! Heck, its going to save you plenty of $ as well because a long goes a long way!

Want to purchase? You can get it HERE! Also, they’ll send you a guide with over 50 uses for the Apothecary Extract’s Tea Tree Oil!
