Whats not to love here? Sausage, onions & beer… yes just 3 ingredients!!!! I love this dish because of the subtle bitterness of the beer, the sweet onions and that delicious juicy chicken sausage {trust me you won’t miss the pork}! Great one pan meal or get the crock pot out and put it to work! I served a potato & 4 bean salad on the side… but.. you’re going to have to wait on that one 🙂 I’ll be sharing that recipe over at The Best Blog Recipes in a couple weeks so keep posted!
Beer Braised Chicken Sausage & Onions
serves 2-3
1- 14 oz pkg sweet chicken sausage (I used Premio brand, YUM!!!)
1 large sweet onion, sliced
1 bottle of beer (I used Yuengling bc thats what I had on hand)
olive oil
In a pan brown the sausage on each side. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Add a drizzle of olive oil and the sliced onion. Cook until softened and lightly golden.
Add the sausage back to the pan and add in the beer. Simmer for about 20-25 minutes. It will reduce by about half.
HAPPY EATS!!!

This sounds good. I make a dish too with chicken sausage with peppers & onions.
