School lunches are all new to me! Today was my big guy, Jacks first day of full day kindergarten. Let me tell ya, it was a rough morning but thank God that once he calmed down he had a great day at school. I am praying that tomorrow is a little easier on him now that he knows what to expect. Keep those fingers crossed for me friends! On a happier note, he really enjoyed his lunch and I really enjoyed sticking these awesome personalized school labels from Kidecals all over his things! How awesome is that surfer dude on there?!?!
Lets chat about these labels first because I am kind of obsessed with labeling things and can’t wait to order some for my little guy who starts preschool next week and of course some kitchen organizing labels for myself!
Have you ever heard of Kidecals??? I hadn’t either until just recently and it was seriously perfect timing because I really didn’t want to write all over Jacks things with a marker but of course needed everything labeled. Kids stuff is not cheap and heck, I want our stuff to come home so lets label is not lose it. The school labels from Kidecals are awesome and totally solved my problem!! Lets just say, Kidecals labels totally rock!
There are tons of options in designs, shapes and sizes! Heres the best part, they are super durable; waterproof, washing machine, dryer and dishwasher safe! Bonus for us mommas am I right!?!?! Check out just a handful of the options, and look at those allergy labels, super important no doubt for the kiddos that suffer… safety first!
I choose the Mega Set for Jacks labels which include 24 two inch labels and 48 one inch labels. Yup, 72 labels for just $28! Added bonus, if you get onto their site and join their email list, you’ll get a 15% off your first order!!!!! Who doesn’t LOVE a discount!!! I definitely encourage you to check out their site for all your labeling needs! Everything from keyboard stickers, canning labels, DIY, wall decals and more!
Now that first lunch! I’ve said it before, my kids are total foodies! I need to keep things interesting and fun otherwise I know they will get really bored really quickly! Heres what I did for the bigs guys lunch today.
I cut the crust off two slices of whole grain bread and rolled them out nice and flat with a rolling pin. A slice of ham and two slices of cheese on each, rolled up and cut into sushi like pieces. On the side some strawberries, hummus and pretzels. This one is healthy and plenty to keep those bellies full on their busy school days.

Right?!?! I love these things!!! My goal now that the kiddos are in school is to organize the pantry and I am absolutely labeling everything hahaha! My family may think I’m nuts but I’m ok with that!
