I love having a variety of herbs growing in the yard. Its a wonderful thing to be able to walk outside and snipe fresh herbs and straight into the house to use in a dish. It doesn’t get much better then that. Our herbs are doing so well so I decided to put them to good use in this Garlic & Herb Butter. Its perfect on bread, on top a steak, tossed with sautéed shrimp and so much more.
Heres the great thing about this recipe… you can change it to whatever you like and whatever you happen to have on hand. I went with rosemary, basil, oregano and chives. A perfect amount of garlic, salt and pepper and let me tell ya, this stuff is addicting! I won’t even lie, I had three pieces of bread since making the butter this afternoon, its that good.
The concept of flavored butter is such a great thing because the possibilities are endless. Everything from savory like this one to sweet like a honey cinnamon butter. I make flavored butters often and these beautiful Imperial Blue Ramekins from Denby are a great way to keep the butters refrigerated and table ready. These ramekins are part of their new Everyday Bowl line and I just love them! The platter that the bread & butter are served on is also from Denby, their Heritage Pavilion Accent Rectangle Plate.
