I recently had the privilege to attend the unveiling of the Miele Innovation Center at Reno Appliance in Paterson NJ. It was a great opportunity to learn about this German manufacturer, to speak with their President and to witness the full range of appliances! I’m so excited to share My Miele Dream Kitchen with all of you! Oh and a little bonus was that the incredible Alex Guarnashelli was there catering the event- YUM! 

Miele has been a family operated business from its beginnings in 1899. Their philosophy is a simple and important one…. Miele offers products to its customers that set the standards for durability, performance, ease of use, energy efficiency, design and service. Like the President of the company, Jan Heck told us that night, if it doesn’t do what it is supposed to do then what is the point. He couldn’t be more right and what an honor and pleasure it was to speak with him and really hear how passionate he is about this company! 

So I’ve actually never really shopped around for major kitchen appliances outside of a new refrigerator so this was a real treat! Miele has not only incredible kitchen appliances but also laundry and floor care. All sophisticated, beautiful and perfectly functional. I was of course drawn to the kitchen appliances because thats basically where I spend most of my days and I cannot even tell you how impressed I am!

We moved into our home just over a year ago and I did a cosmetic makeover when I painted our kitchen cabinets {which are holding up great} but next year we are praying and really hoping to be able to do a bit of bigger makeover. You betcha I was taking notes on everything from the sleek Miele Stovetops, to the awe inspiring Miele Ranges, super functional Refrigerators and built in coffee/espresso systems!

When I say that Miele has thought of EVERYTHING… they have really thought of everything! From a 2 knock open dishwasher {you can check out the video on our FB page- just WOW!}, their comfort swivel handle on the ranges, rapid pre heat, the MasterCool™ – SmartFresh feature on their refrigerators and SO MUCH MORE!

Funny little story about our first Christmas in this house… We have a large family so we are almost always over 20 people when it comes to family gatherings. Well this year our oven decided to malfunction in the middle of warming our Christmas dinner!!! I’m not sure what happened but I think when I turned the warming drawer on that completely there the oven off and all of a sudden it wouldn’t hold the temperature I set it at. To say the least, it was embarrassing, everyone was getting really hungry and dinner was served way later then planned!

This is why its so important to have appliances that actually do what they are supposed to do! The fact that they look gorgeous is certainly a bonus! So for the next year I will be saving up in hopes that I can add a Miele range to my kitchen so that Christmas mishap never happens again! Seriously, if you have the opportunity to check out one of their Innovation Centers– do it! To say the least, you will be HIGHLY impressed.
