Holiday Brookies {aka brownie cookies}. What an incredibly easy, fun and DELICIOUS sweet treat for the holidays! Create memories in the kitchen then gift these goodies to friends and family to spread some cheer!
The holidays are almost here and I am SO excited!!! This year is particularly wonderful because we are in our new home and I cannot wait to have family and friends over to celebrate the holidays. This time of year is so special and magical. One of the things I look forward to every year is baking COOKIES! Lots and lots of cookies and other sweet treats like these really fun Holiday Brookies!
This time of year there is always a ton of running around to do. The other day while in Walmart I grabbed all the goodies I’d need to bake up these delicious Holiday Brookies in the baking aisle. What makes these so fun? I used Pillsbury™ Family Size Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix and turned it into a cookie! No holiday cookie, or brookie in this case, would be complete with something extra special. For these I stirred M&M’S® Brand Minis Milk Chocolate Baking Bits right into the batter and then used them again to decorate.
One of my fondest memories growing up was baking cookies with my mom and grandparents. Its such a wonderful thing to now enjoy with any kids. Getting them in the kitchen with me is a big deal and truly creates lasting memories. I figure its not only creating memories but giving them a tradition to one day pass down and to teach them about giving to others. We love crafting up fun gift packages with our baked goodies.
These Holiday Brookies are just perfect for sharing with friends, family and neighbors! To make them even more festive I frosted these brookies with Pillsbury™ Funfetti® Holiday Vanilla Flavored Frosting. My kids came up with the added touch of extra M&M’S® Brand Minis Milk Chocolate Baking Bits on top. Putting these Holiday Brookies on your must try list? Well, I’ve got a really exciting deal for you to… go ahead and click below to grab yourself an awesome coupon!
I picked up some fun little cookie gift bags, holiday cookie cutters, ribbon and paper filler. Once the frosting is set you can go ahead and add a little filler to each bag, a few cookies then tie the bag with a cookie cutter attached. These make for such a fun gift that are sure to be enjoyed!
Surely you are going to want to make an extra batch to keep at home to enjoy with a tall glass of Great Value® milk from Walmart. Oh! If you are attending or hosting a cookie swap, these would be a GREAT addition to the table!! I think you all will love these as much as I do!

These are so adorable and so easy, thanks to the ingredients – time is the one commodity that’s really expensive during the holidays!

I used to think using a boxed mix to make cookies was “cheating” but now I love it! So easy and so yummy! That means more cookies for more people 🙂 -Erin at http://www.stayathomeyogi.com
